First ascent: July 16 th 2003 with Paolo Parissenti (West Face)
Especially in the middle (yellow zone) the route is very difficult. Most of the time the rock is very good except in the key rope pitch. Fascinating route in a wild landscape.
Difference in height of the route: about 350 m
Rope pitches: 10
Grade of difficulty: up to the upper 6 th

The key rope pitch crosses an overhanging crack with an oblique roof and must be climbed free. The name “Endurance” refers to Shakleton’s Ship that planned the crossing of the Antarctic at the beginning of 20 th century. I was so fascinated by this story that I wanted to immortalize this name in a wall.

Descent: several directions are possible. The easiest one is the descent to Lietres Valley.
